The Heritage Center is proud to serve as the home of the USA All Day Community Time Capsule, created to commemorate America's 250th Anniversary.
This special time capsule, led by City Councilman Aaron Vos and sponsored by Overlay Pros, gave our community the opportunity to leave messages, photos, and small mementos for future generations—a snapshot of life in Indian River County during this historic milestone in our nation's story.
The capsule contains sixteen individual canisters, each representing Indian River County, its unincorporated communities, municipalities and towns, as well as organizations and businesses who lent support to the USA All Day celebration. The canisters were placed in the vault under the flagpole at The Heritage Center (2140 14th Ave).
Aaron Vos read a proclamation naming Vero Beach Vice-Mayor Taylor Dingle’s son, 19-month-old Elias, as First Keeper of the time capsule. The vault will be opened by him on July 4, 2076.
Vero Heritage, Inc. is dedicated to historic preservation and to the
celebration of Indian River County's history and cultural heritage.
